Here, There, Anywhere You Need Child Care!
 Hi!
I am Janinne and I am one of the temporary child care providers of Nanny
ASAP. My home base is the Washington, DC area, however, I am willing to
travel just about anywhere. Currently I live in Ocean Pines, a community
just outside of Ocean City, Maryland. I have lived in Washington DC,
Montgomery County, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia.
I was a full time nanny for nine years for
a great family in Northern Virginia. When I started with them there was one
3 month old baby girl. When I left she had been joined by two brothers and
two sisters. Leaving these kids was the hardest choice I ever made; but I
wanted to make a change in my life. I moved into temporary child care by
accident when word got around that I had left my nanny family and I could
fill holes for vacationing nannies. I found that I really enjoyed going to
different places, meeting different families, and filling in where I was
needed. It was a real surprise to me when I realized this is a much needed
service. When I found other nannies who also focused on temporary jobs, I
was hooked!
 I
have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I have extensive
experience as a substitute teacher in two school systems where I loved being
their temporary music, physical education and art teacher. I have also
enjoyed positions as the special education teacher as well as the regular
classroom teacher for pre-kindergarten through sixth grades. Children have
been a part of my life since I was a child myself, and I am proud of my
ability to relate to children of any age.
It has been a delight to work with newborn
singles and twins, toddlers and preschoolers as well as all elementary ages,
a few middle school &high school boys and girls.
